As the NTM gives extreme importance to the landscaping of Nicosia, greening works all around the capital city continue. In this context, İrfan Erişmen who is in charge of the Parks and Gardens Department mentioned that, so far many landscaping projects were completed by the Municipality, such as: Near East University Crossroad, Backside of Kizilbas Church, Domuzcular Burnu Crossroad, Pronto Roundabout, and pavements in both Dereboyu and ceremony areas. Erişmen also added that, in near future greening works will take place in the Walled City of Nicosia. Erişmen stated that, as a result of these hard works Nicosia will gain a more modern and greener face.
