Bulutoğluları: “We are planning to realize theatre courses for our children”

The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, watched the “ Little Black Fish” today     (27-02-09) with the students of the Şehit Doğan Ahmet Primary School.

Before the play, which attracted intensive interest of the audience since the day it has been staged,  Bulutoğluları came together with the children, showed them a close interest and asked their opinion about theatre.

“Our duty is to realize cultural and artistic organizations which will be for the benefit of our Capital’’

The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality who made a speech before the play, stated that the NTM is always successful in every field.

Stating that the Nicosia Municipal Theatre is realizing many important works within  the framework of the collaboration with the National Theatres of Ankara and İstanbul,  Bulutoğluları told “Our duty is to realize cultural and artistic organizations which is for the benefit of our Capital.” Connoting that they will realize better organizations with the implementation of the new theatre building, Bulutoğluları added that they will organize theatre courses for the children at the new building.  

Ersoy: “ The most important factor which designates the future of a community is arts and culture”

At his speech, the Culture and Arts Coordinator of the NTM Yaşar Ersoy told that they also give importance to the youth and children theatre as much as the plays for grown-ups.

Ersoy said, “ the most important investment which is made for our young people is culture and arts. Because the most important factor which designates the future of a community is arts and culture. As the Nicosia Municipal Theatre, we are struggling for that purpose for years.”

Ersoy specified that during these works, their biggest supporter is the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality Cemal Bulutoğluları and the Municipal Council Members.

The “Little Black Fish”, which is staged by the  Nicosia Municipal Theatre, will meet children every Thursday and Friday at 10:30.
