The mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (NTM), Cemal Bulutoğluları, accepted SOS Association on 5th August, Wednesday in his office. Bulutoğluları stated that SOS is an association which realizes important works in Turkish Cypriot society and he added that as the NTM they will continue their support both spiritually and materially.

During the meeting, the SOS authorities, leaded by the National Director of SOS Children’s Village Barbaros Canıtez, gave information about the current situation of the association and about their future projects and they found the opportunity to thank Mayor Bulutoğluları for his contributions to the association. The Director of SOS Children’s Village Ahmet Akarsu, the kindergarten and nursery school director Rahme Kavaz of SOS Children’s Village, Family Strengthening Project Coordinator Nükhet Tanol, Youth House Director Münür Yücekal and the Head of the Fund Development Cemil Hafız attended the meeting.

Canıtez: “NTM gave valuable contribution to our association thanks to the sensibility of Cemal Bulutoğluları”

Stating that the association is standing with the contributions, the national director of SOS Children Village, Barbaros Canıtez, emphasized that there are lots of valuable contributions of NTM to the association. Indicating that the Mayor Bulutoğluları took a strong interest in their association, Barbaros Canıtez connoted that as a result of this close interest, they have got positive feedback from the municipality for every subject they demanded.

Canıtez: “We wanted to visit the Mayor Mr. Bulutoğluları with a crowded  team formed of the responsible of all departments operating under the umbrella of the association. The Mayor Bulutoğluları pays strong attention to the problems of the association. Firstly, I thank Mr. Bulutoğluları for this responsibility and then for his spiritual and material supports. The municipality makes one of the biggest contributions to our association

The car park that we need for a long time is an example to this. They helped us about the environmental arrangement. We also get support from the municipality about the transport of children and youth. Each year, the municipality is undertaking the sponsorship for 5 families. I would like to thank the Mayor Cemal Bulutoğluları again for all his aids and supports.”

Bulutoğluları: “We should make a contribution for bringing up children in good conditions.”

The Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları denoted that SOS Children’s Village make a valuable and holly work for the Turkish Cypriot Community and added that it is a responsibility to make contribution and support for SOS as a local government.

Stating that they always support SOS, which provides good opportunities for children’ growth and which gain them to the society, and they would like to continue to support increasingly, Bulutoğluları informed the authorities of the SOS that they will definitely  work together in the future as well. Stating that he would like to visit SOS Children Village in the following days and listen to the problems at the actual place, Bulutoğluları, wished success to all authorities and staff who work under that association for their works.
