The parent- teacher association of Atatürk Engineering College donated 30 water engines to the people who are aggrieved by the flood in Nicosia. Today (08–03–10), The director of Atatürk Engineering College, Niyazi Şafakoğluları, visited the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları, and donated 30 water engines to the Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları, to be delivered to the people who are aggrieved by the flood.

The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları denoted that the parent- teacher association of Atatürk Engineering College showed a good behavior and he wished that this grant will be a model for the other associations and organizations. Bulutoğluları denoted that 80 % water engines of the houses are out of use in Ortaköy, Marmara and Taşkınköy regions as a result of flood disaster.

Bulutoğluları also connoted that we need to move together for recovering the wounds in a short time and we need to be in solidarity. In his speech, the director of Atatürk Engineering College, Niyazi Şafakoğluları denoted that, after the call for aid of Mayor Cemal Bulutoğluları, they took the decision of donating water engines and said that the NTM always give support to their school. Şafakoğluları denoted that, as the parent- teacher association of Atatürk Engineering College, they are a family and they will continue to be with public in good and bad day as well.
