Tosun: “As the Republic of Turkey we are always ready to support the Turkish Cypriots. We are going to make all the necessary contributions to overcome  this disaster’’

Bulutoğluları: “ We are struggling to help the Nicosians who suffer from the floods as soon as possible. Our greatest assurance is the Turkish Government led by the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdoğan”. 

The Coordinator of the Turkish Embassy Support Team, Ertan Tosun made some inspections at the regions affected by the flood disaster in Nicosia on  March 1st, 2010. At the on-site inspection where the Mayor Bulutoğluları accompanied the Coordinator Tosun and the authorities from the support team, the delegation visited and chatted with the citizens and wished them to recover soon. The coordinator Tosun, who inspected the damage assessment works on site, was briefed by the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Bulutoğluları. 

The Coordinator of Tosun stated that the Republic of Turkey will always continue to support  the TRNC in their good and bad times. Tosun stated that, they wanted to visit the flood area and observe the ongoing works in their place. He conveyed that they are there to share the sadness as well as the happiness of Turkish Cypriots.   

   Tosun highlighted that the whole community has to behave as one in natural disasters like flood and added that we have to struggle to meet the needs. Tosun also denoted that as the Support Team they will fulfill their own responsibilities. 

Highlighting that after the termination of the assessment of damage works, they will take action to redress spiritual and material losses immediately, he also added that they will try to do their best in coordination with the municipality to enable the people to return back to their normal lives.  

   The Mayor of the NTM Bulutoğluları stated that Turkey always supports them and that he is so happy to see the authorities of the Republic of Turkey right besides them after this flood disaster.  

Visiting the aggrieved areas with the authorities, Bulutoğluları said that they need     everyones’s support for the people to return their normal lives in these areas.

   ‘’Even the mere knowledge that the AKP Government of Recep Tayyip Erdoğan is showing close interest to them helps the aggrieved people to feel relieved. I thank them very much’’ said Bulutoğluları.
