The NTM, having the pride of building permanent works in the Capital, Nicosia, is continuing with investments non-stop.

The public opening of the ‘Plantation Unit’ of the Department of Parks and Gardens of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality (NTM) is expected to be in March.

The Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları, checked the latest arrangements about the unit and gave directions about the deficiencies.

Bulutoğluları stated that they are about to finish the plantation unit as a result of their hard work to supply for the green and flower demand of the Capital, and that they will be happy to contribute with a new, beautiful and permanent work to Nicosia.

Giving information about the plantations, the Head of the Department of Parks and Gardens of the NTM, Ferdiye Sav said that 75 young plants to be planted in the summer and that 30 young plants to be planted in winter have been produced. Stating that  50 types of trees, bonsai, bushes, plants and 30.000 young plants are made ready to be planted, Sav said that with the opening of the plantations, it will be possible for the public to buy plants directly from there.

Indicating that the unit has started production on November in 2008, Sav connoted that 15 people are currently working there.

       The plantations of the NTM which were in Haspolat were moved to the Kızılbaş region of Nicosia some time ago. The young plants which are produced in the plantations are used for the flowering works all around Nicosia.
