Bulutoğluları: “We support social projects” The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality(NTM) Cemal Bulutoğluları received the Turkish Cypriot Association of  University Women leading by Gülden Plümer Küçük on 22nd of January, 2010. Bulutoğluları connoted that the Nicosia Turkish Municipality pays great importance to the cooperation with NGOs and that they always support the social projects of the associations.

Küçük: “Through this project we are aiming to contribute to the development of mothers”

The Chairman of the Turkish Cypriot Association of University Women Gülden Plümer Küçük denoted that since the establishment of the Association, they implemented various projects which all have social dimension. Küçük highligthed that the Nicosia Mothers Center Project was approved by the European Union and 100.000 € fund was secured for the implementation of this project, however they need extra support to the Association in order to be able to help the community. 

Reminding that the NTM always supports this kind of social projects, Küçük stated that they wish to see the support of the Municipality to this project which aims for the mothers and children who live in the old city of Nicosia and spend time sitting at home to come to the Center and have the opportunity to develop themselves by attending various facilities. Stating that within the framework of the project mothers and children who live in the old city of Nicosia will be trained and will attend various social and cultural activities while the children will benefit from the game groups, Küçük added that this project will especially make important contributions to the development of mothers and children who live in the old city of Nicosia.

Bulutoğluları: “This kind of place was necessary. I congratulate the Associaton for the project”

The Mayor of the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları, said that they should work together with the non-governmental organizations for providing the best service to the Nicosians. Indicating that either being together with the NGO’s or by supporting the projects done by the NGO’s, this service can be brought to a better level, Bulutoğluları stated that the Nicosia Mothers Center project of the Association is a work like this. Highlighting the importance of the social dimension of this project, Bulutoğluları added that they are willing to support such vital projects.
