Dereboyu, the most important shopping and entertainment district of Nicosia, became a stage for great excitement once more on 6th August, Wednesday, 2009.

At the shopping and music fest, which was organized by Nicosia Turkish Municipality and tradesmen, singers Korhan-Elvan-Soul Stuff and Fırat Derat entertained all  Nicosians at four different stages which were setup on Mehmet Akif and Osmanpaşa Avenues. The citizens both did cheap shopping and attended the entertainments and had fun at the activity which started at 7 pm.

The Mayor of Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Cemal Bulutoğluları also joined the citizens at the event. The Mayor took on the stage and made a speech to the public. The Mayor also sang two songs with the artists. Bulutoğluları received much appreciation from the public and stated: “Our people need this kind of events and we will definitely continue with more of these festivals.”
