Nicosia Turkish Municipality  started a cleaning campaign in Hamitköy, which will be included to the borders of the municipality on 1st september 2008. The aim of the works which is generated by the Cleaning Department and Heavy vehicles department of NTM,  is to provide a wonderful landscape that the public of Hamitköy and Nicosia deserve.

Bulutoğluları: ‘Cleaning  services are one of the indispensable duties of the municipalities.’

The Mayor of the  Nicosia Turkish Municipality, Bulutoğluları, who made a statement about the  cleaning campaign, denoted that the cleaning services are  one of the indispensable duties of the municipalities. Bulutoğluları also highlighted that Nicosia’s borders will enlarge in the context of local governance beginning from 1st september 2008 and he also connoted that the cleaning campaign which is being generated in Hamitköy, will also be realized in Haspolat in a near future. Bulutoğluları highlighted that they, as the Nicosia Turkish Municipality, do not complain of enlarging the borders of services of Capital city in parallel with the enlargement of the borders of services and said that the government should increase  the contribution that it makes to the municipalities.
