The delegation of Gaziantep is in TRNC 

Gaziantep delegation, which involves the Governor of Gaziantep Süleyman Kamçı, the Mayor of the Greater Municipality of Gaziantep Dr Asım Güzelbey, MPs Halil Mızıcıoğlu, Hasan Özdemir, Mehmet Erdoğan abd Özlem Müftüoğlu came to the TRNC on Sunday, 6th December. The Ambassador of Turkey to Nicosia Şair Fakılı, the Minister of Finance Ersin Tatar, the Mayor of the Nicosia Turkis Municipality Cemal Bulutoğluları welcomed the delegation at the Ercan Aiport. The delegation that made visits in our country for two days, signed sister-city protocol with the Nicosia Turkish Municipality and made various top-level visits to the government.

 The NTM and The Greater Municipality of Gaziantep are sister-cities 

“Sister-city Protocol” was signed for the purpose of improving and strenghtening the friendship and cooperation relationships between the NTM and the Greater Municipality of Gaziantep.

After Ankara, Bursa and Kumanova, which is the second-largest city of Macedonia, the NTM is now sister-cities with Gaziantep, one of the important industrial cities of Turkey.

 According to the protocol, parties will encourage the mutual cooperation, benefit from each other’s experience, exchange their personnel, provide practical training and in-service-trainig opportunities, attend the activities in each other’s cities, will present each other’s culture at festivals and activities and improve the cooperation between the two cities in every field. The Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları and the Mayor of the Greater Municipality of Gaziantep, Dr. Asım Güzelbey signed the sistership protocol at 10:00 at Nicosia Merit Hotel, on Monday, 7th December.

Before signing the ceremony,  opening ceremony of the exhibition of Gaziantep handicrafts at the Nicosia Merit Hotel was realized.

The Mayor of the Greater Municipality of Gaziantep, Dr  Asım Güzelbey, and accompanying guests made official visits during the time that they were in TRNC. The Mayor of the Greater Municipality of Gaziantep, Dr  Asım Güzelbey, visited the Prime Minister, Derviş Eroğlu at 08:45, the Mayor of the NTM, Cemal Bulutoğluları at 11:30 and the Former President of the  TRNC, Rauf R. Denktaş at 12:45 on Monday, 7th December.
